Mots-C vs SS31 for blood sugar on GH, tried both and SS31 is pulling ahead for me

The mechanism of SS31 is mitochondrial membrane stabilization through cardiolipin interaction. The evidence base is largely preclinical but the pharmacology is sound. I ran SS31 alongside 3 IU GH for eight weeks and checked fasting glucose every two weeks. Baseline 4.7 mmol/L, peak during run 5.2 mmol/L, returned to 4.8 mmol/L post-run. Sample size of one but at least I have a number rather than a subjective report.

Mots-C acts as a mitokine secreted by mitochondria that activates AMPK via a pathway distinct from the traditional energy-sensing mechanism. The injection site redness is a consistent finding across multiple reports and is likely due to the peptide itself rather than the carrier. SS31 operates via a different mechanism, targeting the inner mitochondrial membrane directly. Comparing them as interchangeable alternatives is not fully accurate but in the context of GH-induced insulin resistance both can be useful. I would want fasting glucose and HbA1c data before drawing any conclusions about efficacy.

The injection site redness from Mots-C was the main reason I switched. Not severe but noticeable every time, site stayed pink for two days. SS31 has been cleaner for me so far, three months in. Running GH at 2.5 IU fasted AM, fasting glucose has stayed in range. Can't say definitively it's the SS31 doing the work but it stays in the stack for now.

Running 3 IU GH daily and started Mots-C at 5mg every 5 days to manage the blood sugar impact. It worked but the injection site redness was consistent - not a full reaction but enough to be annoying each time. Switched over to SS31 about 6 weeks ago and the site reactions are basically gone. Blood sugar management seems comparable so far. Curious if anyone else has run both and whether the mitochondrial support side actually shows up in anything measurable or if we're just going on feel at these doses.

The injection site redness with Mots-C put me off too. Not a full reaction but consistent enough across sessions that it felt like a warning sign I didn't want to ignore. SS31 has been cleaner in that regard. Still genuinely unsure how much either is actually doing on the blood sugar side, hard to isolate when there are multiple variables in play. Running it more for the mitochondrial angle than expecting to see dramatic glucose numbers.

Useful comparison. The injection site redness with Mots-C seems to be consistent enough across different users that it is worth flagging as something to expect rather than an individual reaction. Keep an eye on it over multiple sessions and drop the dose if it persists or worsens.

The injection site redness from Mots-C is real, had the same thing. Not a bad reaction just annoying when you're already pinning daily. Haven't tried SS31 yet but the mitochondrial angle is interesting - the mechanism is different enough from Mots-C that they might actually complement each other rather than overlap. Hard to isolate the blood sugar effect independently though, too many variables on a full GH stack.

The SS31 direction makes sense. Mots-C injection site redness has come up enough times now that it's clearly a pattern not a one-off. Interesting compounds but the stack management overhead is real when you're already pinning multiple times a day.

SS31 is the cleaner experience from what I've seen. The injection site redness from Mots-C puts people off and a few hours of irritation every 5 days gets old. Neither compound has strong independent evidence behind it but if I'm already running GH and managing blood sugar then SS31 makes sense to add. The injection burden is the real limiting factor at some point, not the cost.

Honestly the bigger issue is how much of this is real vs placebo at these doses. SS31 has the more solid mechanistic research base but neither has proper human bodybuilding outcomes published. If you're already pinning daily, adding another jab for a marginal blood sugar effect is questionable when berberine is way cheaper and the data is clearer. Save the mitochondrial peptides for when you can actually run labs to track what they're doing.
