We all know almost all bodybuilders have blood pressure , hard to see a bodybuilder with 120/80 ( perfect measure ). And most of them need medication to keep under control. From Concor 5 , Telmisartan, Enalapril , witch one you prefer and think is the best for bodybuilder?

For my experience Telmisartan dont reduce mine when Enalatril works reducing it.

I have tried 2 types

1) Lisinopril 5mg ---- this gave me serious and chronic coughing. It also took weeks to stop coughing even after stopping this medication.

2) Concor 5mg ---- this keeps things under control. I have suffered from high blood pressure for years. Even up to 195/90 or something like that.... resting pulse used to be high as hell too. Combination of random stuff, high water retention, no cardio contributed....

Been taking this medication for 8 years, and makes things perfect.

This year, I "thought" I would stop taking it (for no reason), and noticed that when I was going for walks, I would nearly pass out with breathing issues after 5 minutes. Decided to go back on, and everything is back to normal. I can now walk 5km+ without any issues.

Don't recommend taking this with clen though.

I have Lisinopril and ramipril currently use ramipril don’t suffer that high blood pressure 140/70 but just using it for safety measures 10mg does give a cough here and there also use a statin due to high cholesterol

Darren 140 is high , not normal . Normal is 120/80. And you have 140 using this Beta Blockers? without using what is your numbers? Of course 300 pounds you should have very high blood pressure for sure

No don’t use beta blockers I have them few boxes left but I do not use propranolol used to get it from the doctor for anxiety but dislike the slowed heart rate dizziness

Yes beta blockers put you slow , calm and this is great in offseason . Because at cutting time you cant use them to keep burning fat and also use fat burners like clembuterol

Amlodipine 5mg daily. My cardiologist knows I use performance enhancing compounds, I was upfront with him from day one. He manages my blood pressure accordingly. If you cannot be honest with your doctor about what you are taking you need a different doctor. This stuff is serious enough to warrant proper medical monitoring.

Losartan 50mg. Been on it for years alongside everything I run. Does not affect performance, protects kidneys, does not cause the fatigue that beta blockers do. If your blood pressure is elevated from cycling it is usually haematocrit or sodium or both. Sort those first. If it is still elevated at rest off cycle then you have a real problem that compounds are making worse and you need a doctor.

Sort the root cause first. Usually haematocrit or water retention. Donate blood if haematocrit is over 52, reduce sodium, check your kidney markers. If BP is still elevated after that then consider medication. Do not just jump to pills before addressing the basics.

Nebivolol. Vasodilates and does not tank your performance like other beta blockers. 5mg daily. Also sort the root cause first - usually haematocrit or water retention. Drop the sodium, get a blood test, donate if your RBC is high. Ramipril is good for kidney protection long term if you are running heavy compounds year round.
