Mirabegron is a β3-agonist drug approved by the FDA for use in 2012 and administered in overactive bladder. Activating of adrenergic receptors leads to the relaxation of the detrusor muscle. According to the latest research and reports, it also has lipolytic activity, affecting the reduction of mainly brown adipose tissue (BAT) but also of white adipose tissue (WAT).
