View Full Version : Blood work came back rough after 16 week blast, anything stand out?
Just got bloods back after 16 weeks of test e 600mg and deca 400mg. Hematocrit sitting at 54, lipids are a mess - HDL down to 28, LDL pushed up to 160. Haemoglobin is 18.3. Feel absolutely fine in the gym but these numbers look rough on paper. Donating blood next week. Any thoughts on where to focus first for recovery - the lipids or the RBC situation?

Hematocrit at 54 you definitely need to donate before that creeps higher. Haemoglobin of 18.3 is on the edge. I would prioritise the RBC situation first since that is the acute risk. The lipids will start recovering once you are off cycle - HDL usually climbs back over 4-6 weeks if your diet is clean and you throw in some cardio. Good work catching it with bloods.
16 weeks is too long for most guys aye. I cap at 12 now for exactly this reason - the cardiovascular toll isnae worth it past that point. Donate, cruise for a bit, get the lipids sorted with red yeast rice or just time. How was the deca treating joints? That is usually the one saving grace for long blasts.

How long does it usually take for HDL to come back after a blast like this? Mine dropped to 32 after my last cycle and it took about 8 weeks to get back to 45. Was doing 40 mins cardio 4x a week which seemed to help.

Those lipids are rough but not catastrophic. Seen guys come back from worse in 8-10 weeks on cruise. Blood donation is the move for the hematocrit. Niacin can help with the HDL but the dose you need to move the needle is not pleasant. Just time and cardio is more realistic.

Good update. Did you run any liver support during the blast itself or just waiting till after? I always run TUDCA at 500mg through and wondering if it actually makes a difference to post-blast values.
