View Full Version : Finally quit quad injections after 8 years, scar tissue won the battle

Eight years of pinning quads and they are done. Pushing through felt like concrete last month. Moved to rear delts and upper glute and honestly should have done it years ago. Anyone else hit this wall and made the switch? Rear delt technique took a bit to get right but no complaints now. The quads are just not worth it long term.

Rear delts are the obvious move once quads are done. Higher volume per site is easier, less tissue trauma, and the injection is genuinely simpler once you have the technique. I made the same switch at year 6 and wish it had been year 2. Upper glute is good for higher oil volumes if you need it.

I stopped quad injections at year 5. Same problem - pushing through felt like hard muscle and the pip was worse each time. Mid delt and upper glute now only. The volume per site limitation forces you to pin more frequently which is actually better anyway for stable levels.
