I added HCG to my TRT protocol six weeks ago. 500 IU twice per week. What changed: testicular fullness returned within two weeks, noticeable. Also feel a little better generally but hard to separate from placebo. What did not change: labs, libido, mood significantly. I had read HCG would improve mood noticeably but I do not see this clearly. Has anyone else found the subjective benefits modest? Or do I need to give it more time?

Six weeks is early to judge the mood effects some people report. The testicular fullness and volume restoration is the most consistent documented benefit. The subjective wellbeing improvement varies significantly between individuals. Give it 12 weeks before drawing conclusions on the mood aspect.

HCG mood benefits are probably the most variable thing about it. Some guys feel noticeably better, others feel nothing extra beyond the physical. The gonadal stimulation is confirmed but downstream effects on intratesticular testosterone and DHEA production vary. Not universal at all.

I also added HCG to TRT and my experience is similar to yours. Testicular fullness returned quickly which was the main goal. For mood I noticed a small improvement but I am never sure how much of that is placebo when you feel like your protocol is well optimised. 500 IU twice weekly seems to be the standard that works.

Been thinking about adding HCG to my next cruise. The fertility preservation aspect is the main reason for me, still want kids in the next few years. Good to see a real-world report on the subjective experience. Sounds like the physical benefits are real even if the mood effects are variable.
