View Full Version : How high did you actually push test before the sides made you back it down?
750mg is where I sit long term. Above that my skin becomes genuinely difficult to manage and the AI dose doubles. Good gains still happen below that number without the quality of life issues that come with going higher.

I cap myself at 600mg. Above that my skin gets oily and the wife notices my mood swings before I do. Not worth it for the marginal gains above that dose in my experience at this point in my training.

700mg is my ceiling. Above that I start looking watery even with E2 managed tightly. The water from high androgens does not respond to the AI and that is the part people do not realise until they have been there.

700-750mg is where I cap it. Above that I look watery even with E2 dialled in. High androgen water retention is different from E2 water and the AI cannot fix it. That is the ceiling for me.

I have not tested above 600mg. My data from 500mg on TRT baseline is solid. I will increase methodically with bloodwork at each step rather than jumping to a number based on what others are running.

I run 500-600mg. Nothing more at this stage of my training. The sides at higher doses are not worth it for me personally and I get solid results within that range on a consistent basis.

Data-driven approach to dosing. I run bloodwork at each dose step before increasing. My ceiling is where cardiovascular markers start moving outside the comfortable range, not an arbitrary number based on what others are running.

My preference is moderate test dose with quality additions rather than pushing test very high. I do not see the aesthetic value in doses above 600mg when the result becomes less precise and harder to manage.

Been stepping the test dose up each blast for the past few years trying to find where the sweet spot actually is. Last run I pushed to 900mg and while the strength was definitely there, the sides were not worth it - oily skin all over, water I couldn't shift even with AI dialled in, just looked puffy the whole time. Somewhere around 700-750 gave me the best result without constantly managing something. Curious where everyone else has found their ceiling where the extra dose stops translating into anything worth having.

750mg being the practical sweet spot for most members tracks with what we see here consistently. Above that the sides start stacking faster than the gains do for the majority - though individual response genuinely varies and bloodwork always tells you more than how you feel in the gym.

The non-E2 water retention point is worth paying attention to. Some members chase their AI thinking high androgens are an estrogen problem when the water is already well controlled on paper. The watery look above 750mg-1g test is androgenic, not estrogenic. Reducing the dose is the only actual fix.

Mine's been 750 for years. Tried pushing to 1g on two different blasts and the watery look never fully went away even with E2 dialled in. Not an AI issue either, just straight androgenic water. Lost the conditioning I'd built over the cruise pretty fast. At 750 I look tight, feel good, recovery is there. More than that and I'm just carrying more water for marginal strength gains. Found my answer the hard way.

750 ended up being mine after I pushed it to 1g for one blast. Strength was up but I looked watery even with E2 well managed, and the oily skin was a nightmare. Dropped back to 750 the next run and honestly kept 90% of the strength with half the grief. Above that point you're fighting sides more than you're growing.

750 was my number for a long time. Went to 900 twice and both times the skin went to shit and the water just piled on regardless of where I had my AI. The gains weren't noticeably better at 900 - same rate of progress, just harder to manage how you look. Came back to 750 and it felt like the sweet spot again, which I think it is for most guys who are consistent with diet and training.

900mg along with GH, full and wide as a house. Dropped it down not because of the test but due to the GH, was bordering on pre-diabetic. Loved it
Same here, it's never the test itself that makes me pull back. Pushed it to a gram once and just went watery and oily as hell even with the adex dialled in, and the blood pressure started creeping. Sat at 750 now and honestly look harder than I did at a gram. The gh blood sugar thing is the real story though, my fasting glucose went daft the longer I ran it so I know exactly what you mean.
