Trying to hit 4500 calories on this off-season blast and my digestion is just not keeping up. I feel like I have eaten a full meal but it has only been two hours since the last one. Switched from oats to jasmine rice and cream of rice for most of my carbs and that helped a lot - digests faster and I can eat again sooner. What are other people doing to get the calories in without spending the whole day feeling bloated?

Cream of rice is the answer. I can eat it every 2 hours without any digestive issues. Mass shake with oats, peanut butter and milk between meals for the last 500-600 calories at the end of the day. That is how you hit 5000 consistently.

Six meals a day, smaller portions, faster digesting carbs around training. That is the whole answer. Cream of rice instead of oats for the main carb sources. Nothing more complicated than that.

The six to eight small meals approach is the only way I have consistently hit 5000 calories. Three big meals leaves me unable to eat for hours after. Smaller portions every two to two and a half hours is the practical solution.

Jasmine rice is the go-to mate. Can eat it every couple of hours without feeling blocked up. Oats are great but they sit too heavy when you are trying to hit high volumes throughout the day.

At 92kg trying to hit 4400 calories the digestion issue is real. Switching to faster digesting carbohydrates made a significant difference to how quickly I can eat again after a meal. Cream of rice is now a staple.
