View Full Version : Post-blast lipid damage from Winstrol at 50mg - what is the actual recovery timeline?
Got bloods back post cycle. 16-week blast with 6 weeks of Winstrol at 50mg. HDL tanked to 22, LDL at 178. Ran fish oil throughout at 4g but clearly not enough. Realistic recovery timeline back to baseline? 12-16 weeks I have seen mentioned. And beyond fish oil and steady cardio - is there anything that actually moves the needle during recovery? Quarterly panels going forward, should have been running them mid-blast. That was the mistake. Any data from members who have tracked the full recovery arc after Winstrol would be useful.
12-16 weeks is realistic for HDL recovery after a Winstrol-heavy blast. The fish oil at 4g is what you should have been running throughout. Add it now if you have not. Consistent cardio 4-5 times a week is the other non-negotiable during recovery. Red yeast rice gets mentioned but the evidence is mixed - I would not rely on it. Your HDL at 22 is rough but not catastrophic. It will come back. Run bloods at 8 weeks post-cycle and again at 16. The trend matters more than any single reading.

HDL at 22 after a Winstrol-heavy blast is significant but recoverable. Timeline - 12 weeks minimum back toward baseline, 16 weeks to get close. Fish oil 4g daily and cardio 5 times a week are the two levers you have. Not 2 or 3 cardio sessions. Five. HDL recovery responds to aerobic work consistently across the community. The lesson here is quarterly lipid panels during any blast that includes harsh orals. Winstrol is the worst offender. Running it blind until the cycle ends is how you end up with a post-cycle panel that looks like yours.

Winstrol lipid damage is real and 12-16 weeks to recover is the honest timeline. The guys who retest at 6 weeks post cycle and say their lipids are back to normal are usually still seeing artificially elevated HDL from residual recovery momentum, not true baseline. Run the 16-week recovery protocol - fish oil at 4g, cardio 5 times a week, clean diet - and then retest. Mid-blast lipid checks from now on. Winstrol without quarterly panels is running blind on your cardiovascular risk.
