been on 500mg test e for 4 weeks now and honestly feel the same as before. was expecting something to be different by now but nothing. no strength jump, no extra energy, nothing. did i get bunk gear? pinning twice a week, 250mg each time, glutes. is this normal for week 4 or should i be feeling it by now? dont want to up the dose if the gear is just slow to kick in but also dont want to waste another 4 weeks if somethings off

Week 4 on Test E is still dead weeks territory for most people. The ester takes time to build up and stable blood levels are only really reached around week 4 to 5. The subtle signs you mentioned - slightly oilier skin, better recovery, food going down easier - those are real indicators. Not placebo. The obvious strength jump usually comes weeks 5 to 7 on Test E. If nothing changes at all by week 6, that is when you get bloodwork to confirm levels actually rose. Do not bump the dose at week 4.

I was in the exact same spot at week 4. Felt completely normal and was convinced something was wrong. Then week 6 hit and the recovery difference became obvious. By week 7 the strength was clearly moving. Test E just takes time to build. The oily skin and slightly better recovery between sessions that you mentioned at week 5 are real signs, not placebo. Give it to week 6 before drawing any conclusions and only get bloodwork if week 6 still shows nothing.

Week 4 with zero noticeable change is completely normal on Test E. This was my first cycle too. The dead weeks are real. Week 5 I started noticing slightly better recovery between sessions and some oilier skin. Week 7 is when the training felt genuinely different. Hold your dose, do not adjust anything at week 4, and get bloodwork at week 6 if you want to confirm the levels actually rose. Do not bump to 750mg because nothing happened at week 4 - that removes all ability to assess the original dose.
