View Full Version : Sustanon vs running a single ester test, did anyone actually feel the difference day to day?

Been running test E for most of my cycles for the past few years but tried Sustanon on my last two blasts because the price was similar and a few guys here rate it. Honest take is I cannot tell a meaningful difference day to day at 500mg per week with twice weekly pins. Strength timeline was the same, water retention was the same, AI requirements were the same. The only thing I noticed was slightly more pip at the injection site with the sust compared to the test E I was running before. Anyone who has actually run both back to back with bloods know if the numbers look different or is it just marketing at this point?

The PIP from the prop component is the only thing that actually made me notice a difference running Sust vs Test E. Some guys barely feel it but for me the injection site was sore for 2 or 3 days with Sust where Test E was basically nothing. At twice a week that is just constant low level soreness in rotation. Not a dealbreaker but if you are sensitive to prop pip it is worth factoring in before you commit to a 16 week run of it.

Pharma Sust from Organon genuinely was special - consistent dosing, pharmaceutical sterile standard, the reputation was earned. The UGL versions are a different product in the same name. Worth keeping in mind if you are comparing experiences from guys who ran legit Organon 10 years ago to what most people can actually source today.

Honest thread. Sustanon at 500mg twice a week and Test E at 500mg twice a week produce the same outcome in practice. The multi-ester marketing was designed for clinical TRT with infrequent dosing. Once you pin twice a week the advantage disappears. Run whichever is available and priced reasonably.

The prop component is the practical difference I actually notice. Test E twice a week is smooth, barely any PIP after the first couple of weeks. Sustanon from the same lab, same concentration, the pip on pin day 1 is noticeably worse and it lasts longer. Nothing debilitating but it is a consistent difference across multiple UGL batches I have tried.
The sustanon fanboys will say the prop kick makes you feel it faster. Maybe. But if I want a fast onset I would just run prop or add a short ester kickstart rather than dealing with more pip for the same net weekly test exposure.
Honest answer after running both for years, I cant tell the difference between sust 500 and test e 500 either subjectively or on bloods. Same total test over the week, same feel on day 4 after the pin. The multi ester thing only ever mattered when sust was a once every 2 to 3 week clinical shot, pinning twice a week like we do the benefit just disappears. If anything the prop fraction gives me more pip than smooth test e does. The pharma Organon sust is what built the reputation, the UGL stuff is just enanthate quality with a couple extra esters and a fancier name on the label.

Have almost exclusively ran cyp now for several years as my test base. Popped open sustanon vial and subsequently had a rubber ball sized lump on my glute for 5 days. I can remember pinning sustanon in quads without a care. Will stick to cyp

Yeah sus does that to a lot of guys, the prop ester in the blend is usually what kicks up the worse pip. Had the exact same thing years back, golf ball lump on the glute that took the better part of a week to settle down. Cyp just runs smoother for most of us using a single ester as a base. If you ever go back to a blend, cutting it 50/50 with some smooth test e and pinning a bigger muscle helps, but if cyp works for you theres no real reason to switch.

Absolutely pal. Actually I did cut with NPP, 0.5 Sust 0.5 NPP

Honestly once youre a few weeks in and levels are stable I never noticed much day to day difference between sust and straight test e. The prop in sust gives a bit of a kick the first week or so but after that it evens right out. NPP with the sust is a solid cut combo, keeps you fuller while the cals come down. Did you run any mast with it or just the two?

How you doing pal!
I ran mast-e for 6 weeks after NPP/test for around 14 weeks. I generally, naturally sit on the leaner side of things in some ways was entirely necessary however I wanted to obtain a level of condition I haven't seen for close to a decade.
Throughout 6-8 months of the year I stay on tes(t150-400mg) and NPP (80-300mg) per week

Mast on the back end of a npp/test run is a smart call, keeps you looking dry while the nandro water comes off. On the sust question, I never noticed much day to day either once I was a few weeks deep, the only real difference is the prop fraction giving you that early kick before levels settle. If anything straight test e is easier to dial because you arent juggling four release curves, the blood level just sits flat. Where you sourcing the mast-e though, gone scarce as hell lately with the raw situation.

MTS pal, I have a small stock of mast from over the years.
Ran sus for years before i switched to straight test e and honestly day to day i couldnt tell you much of a difference once blood levels are stable. the prop in sus gives you a bit of a kick the first week or so but after that its just test doing test things. only real downsides i found were more pip from the blend and bloods came back a touch less steady. for a set and forget cruise or blast i take a single long ester every time.

Test is Test no matter the Esther.
What matters is injection frequency.
I personnally would use Sustanon either ED or EOD, as spike matter.
Injecting Sustanon twice a week is the drawing line from being Ok to having side effects. In your case no difference which is good, in my case, an increase of E2, and gyno slowly appears.
With lot of people I know, they easily get pimples/oily skin when they inject twice a week or every 4 days, However this side effects disappear when I make them switch to injection every 2 days.
I would say Test is really on an individually basis.

Day to day I never really felt a difference between sust and straight test e once levels were stable. The short esters in sust just give you more frequent peaks the first few weeks, but after 5-6 weeks blood levels even out and it's the same picture either way. Only real downside of sust for me is the prop fraction can sting and you end up pinning more often if you want truly stable levels. If you like one vial doing everything thats fine, but a single long ester at 500mg/wk split mon/thu does the same job with less pip.
