View Full Version : IGF-1 LR3 post workout, did the localised growth actually show up or was it just the pumps for you?

Been running 4iu GH a while now and I keep seeing IGF-1 LR3 come up as the next thing to add post workout. The pitch is you pin the muscle you just trained at 20 to 100mcg and get local growth in that muscle, some blokes even bilateral pin the worked area rather than one site. What I want from anyone who has actually run it is whether that localised growth genuinely showed up or if it was just the pump for a few hours and nothing you could point to weeks later. Is it worth the money and the extra pin or is it one of those things that stays niche for a reason?

The claim that keeps it interesting is hyperplasia, actual new muscle cells rather than just growing the ones youve already got, but nobody has cleanly shown that in humans at these doses so treat it as plausible not proven. If youre already running 3 to 4iu GH your liver is pushing IGF-1 over 300 anyway, so a lot of guys ask what the LR3 is really adding on top of that. Respect the hypo risk too, it acts like insulin at the receptor so keep fast carbs handy and dont go stacking it with slin unless you know exactly what youre doing.

Interesting discussion. Worth flagging for anyone new reading it that LR3 acts like insulin at the receptor, so respect the blood sugar side and keep fast carbs on hand if you decide to try it. It stays niche for a reason, most guys already running decent GH push their IGF-1 up nicely without the extra pins.

If you are already running 3 to 4iu GH your IGF-1 is probably sat above 300 already, which is exactly why a lot of guys question pinning LR3 on top. The pitch is local muscle protein synthesis in the site you just trained, some bilateral pin the worked area, and the interesting bit is the hyperplasia claim rather than just hypertrophy, but that is plausible not proven in humans at these doses. Run it 20 to 100mcg post workout if you do try it. Respect that it acts like insulin at the receptor though, keep fast carbs on you for the hypo risk. Honestly its niche even among advanced guys and most cant cleanly separate the effect from everything else they are already running.

LR3 is the long acting one run 20 to 100mcg post workout, the pitch is local protein synthesis in the muscle you just trained and some guys bilateral pin the worked area rather than one site. the interesting claim is hyperplasia, actual new muscle cells not just hypertrophy of the ones youve got, the board treats that as plausible but nowhere near proven in humans at these doses. thing is IGF-1 is what your liver pumps out in response to GH anyway, so if youre already running 3 to 4iu your IGF-1 is sitting over 300 which is the marker people chase, makes it hard to justify the extra pin. its expensive and genuinely niche even among advanced guys, and respect the hypo risk since it acts like slin at the receptor, keep fast carbs handy and dont stack it recklessly with insulin.

Never stocked LR3 for a reason, too niche and too easy to mess up the dosing for what it delivers. GH alone gets most guys where they want to be.
