All big guys I know eat no less than 300g protein for growth.
just watch kevin levrone or ronnie eat,

you can grow on any dose and its a beginner cycle with over 1g total gear.. im sure that's more than enough

think about what you just said though.. if you are to follow the common 1-1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight then yes, 400g of protein would be correct for them then. someone who is 180lb though, that's only 230-250g of protein tops. someone who is 180lb even on steroids should not be eating 400g+ of protein...

I follow 2g per lb bodyweight and I eat 400g..
    ronnie ate 600g proteins..

why not try it for a few months and see for yourself

I've followed the 1g/lb of body weight and I've done 1.5g/lb of bodyweight and the difference was negligible except the amount of money I had to spend on protein sources. many many people on LOJ's forum have done similar experiences and have reported no difference in growth rates. it's just not necessary, your body's primary source of fuel is carbohydrates before anything.

pers when i lower carbs i move them to pro and fats as a safe guard. carbs are supp to be protein sparing. (i spell that right lol).

i work hard at my age for my muscle and i rather spend a bit more on more pro then run any risk.

now on hgher carb i will drop down to 1g pro per lb.

to each their own then haha. I think the amount of lean muscle mass one has on them has to be called into consideration though also. when you're 220lb at 6% bf, then yes, at that point I think your body needs and utilizes more protein than say someone who is 180lb @ 6%.

yea, just saying if anyone is not growing from the 1g/lb just up it, I didnt grow on 1g/lb after 3 years

I would say when you are in growing phase carbs are much more important to have high then protein
ofcourse protein intake needs to be optimal but no super super high like 500grams
2g per kg of lean mass should be enough rest are carbs and some fats
if carbs are not enough then you are simply using protein as energy source which is dumb cause protein is pretty expensive
when cutting then protein goes high cause carbs go lower
    just my opinion
with training and recovery I completely agree

My protein is always 200-250g regardless of whether I'm bulking or cutting. On a bulk I lower fats and up carbs and on a cut I lower carbs and up fats. And I've never had any problems packing on size, I'm currently 240lb (admittedly a bit fat atm) so that equates to barely 1g/lb.
