Hi I just signed up using Hotmail. But I seen on the FAQ page it suggests not to use this client. Do I need to sign up to another mail client and alter my account to suit before ordering?

yes go for protonmail or anonymousspeech or any other protected secure email. hotmail is open thus not safe and not encrypted
