Bloodwork came back after my 16 week test/deca blast and I am not happy mate. Hematocrit sitting at 54, triglycerides are cooked, LDL through the roof. Donating blood next week but wondering about the rest. Anyone run extended blasts and had their lipids bounce back solid without going off completely? On a cruise now at 200mg test, thinking about adding TUDCA and NAC. Keen to hear from blokes who have been through this.

TUDCA and NAC is the standard move post-blast for liver and general recovery. Get the blood donation done first though, that is the priority with hematocrit that high. 54 is where things start getting dicey. Give it 6-8 weeks cruise and retest before even thinking about another blast.

16 weeks is too long for most lads, that is your answer right there. Deca especially hammers the lipids. Donate blood, start TUDCA at 500mg daily, get fish oil up to 6g. Your lipids will recover but it takes longer than people think, I would give it 3 months minimum cruise before retesting.

Hematocrit at 54 is the immediate concern - donate blood as soon as possible, this is not optional. For lipid recovery the research suggests omega-3 at high dose (4-6g EPA/DHA combined) is the most evidence-backed intervention available OTC. Niacin can help LDL but the flush dosing is unpleasant. Realistically expect 10-14 weeks for full lipid normalisation on cruise if you are consistent with diet and cardio.

Same thing happened to me after a 14 week test and deca run. Lipids were all over the place. Took about 12 weeks of sensible eating and cardio before they came back to normal range. Blood donation sorted the hematocrit within a few weeks. Are you doing any steady state cardio at the moment? That made a big difference for me honestly.

Deca always wrecks lipids worse than most compounds, that is just the reality of it. 16 weeks compounding that is gonna hurt the bloodwork. The hematocrit is the urgent one though, get that donation done. Lipids will come back with time, cardio, and diet. I run heavy fish oil year round now because of this.

How long were you running the deca? That compound specifically hits the HDL pretty hard for a lot of guys. I personally cap my blasts at 12 weeks now for this reason. Your lipids will come back though, just takes patience and consistency with the diet.

Whole blood donation is the move for hematocrit, you already know this. On the lipid side I would add a statin conversation with your doc if they are not back in range after 12 weeks of clean eating and cardio. Some guys just need pharmaceutical help getting LDL down post long blast. Nothing to be ashamed of.

This is very useful thread for me to read, I am planning my first longer cycle and this is a good reminder to keep bloodwork frequent. Is it correct that you should test lipids at mid-point of blast also, not only at end? So you can catch this earlier?
