DHB first run report - the gains are genuinely there but the PIP lived up to its reputation

Ran DHB twice now and the gains are real. Lean, hard, exactly what you want for prep. First run the PIP was shocking, second run I dialled in the technique and it was much more manageable. Warm the vial, 50/50 cut with MCT, pin slow over 90 seconds minimum. That combination fixed most of it.

The PIP on DHB is not a joke. First injection I genuinely thought something had gone wrong. Week two it started to ease up. The gains after week four were exactly what I wanted for a contest prep - nothing wet, nothing puffy, just hard conditioned muscle. Worth it for prep but not for an off-season cycle where you need to be functional day to day.

Did one run of DHB alongside test at 400mg weekly. Lean mass gains were impressive and I'd do it again. The key thing nobody told me upfront is don't refrigerate it. Crashed in my bathroom cabinet one winter when the temperature dropped and that was a nightmare to deal with. Room temp storage only, full stop.

I read a lot about DHB before trying it. The PIP reputation put me off for a while but when primo prices hit 120 euros a vial I had no choice. DHB at half the cost, comparable results in my experience. First two weeks are brutal, I won't pretend otherwise. After that it's actually fine. Worth the trade-off for a prep cycle.

DHB is hard to source reliably here but I managed to get a good batch through a contact. The gains matched what people say - lean and hard, very little water. PIP was rough the first week but warming the oil made a big difference. Wouldn't use it in off-season but for a summer cut it delivered.

Just finished 12 weeks of DHB cypionate at 400mg alongside test. The compound delivered - lean hard gains, no water retention, quality comparable to primo at a noticeably lower price point. The PIP in the first two weeks was unlike anything I've experienced from a standard AAS. Limping after leg day pins is not an exaggeration. Got on top of it eventually by warming the oil and injecting over 90 seconds minimum. Crashing is also a real risk - found that out storing a vial somewhere cold. Anyone else run it and found anything that reliably takes the edge off the first few weeks?

The warming tip is not optional with DHB - I heat the barrel in a cup of warm water for 2-3 minutes before every pin and it makes a real difference. Also diluting 50/50 with grapeseed cuts the pip noticeably, still got some soreness day 2 but nothing like the limping you get straight from the vial. The gains are genuinely quality though, running it at 400mg alongside test and nothing I have run at that dose has given me this kind of dry hardness without the water.

DHB is one of those compounds where the PIP does ease off after the first couple of weeks once the body adjusts. Warming the oil and injecting slowly makes a real difference. Worth the trade-off for the quality of gains if you can push through the first fortnight.

Worth noting for anyone considering DHB - warming the oil to body temperature before you pin makes a genuine difference to the PIP. A lot of guys skip this step and then decide the compound is not for them. Diluting 50/50 with MCT is the other thing that helps a lot. The first two weeks are the rough part; most people find it very manageable after that.

The warming trick made a genuine difference for me. Body temp on the oil before pinning and going slow - 90 seconds minimum on the plunger - cuts the worst of it. The first 2 weeks are the hardest and then it does settle. Crashing is the thing people don't warn you about enough, store it at room temp, never refrigerate. Had one crash situation and the pain was in a different category entirely. Diluting 50/50 with MCT is worth doing if you're pinning quads or anywhere with less tissue.

The PIP reputation is fully earned. First two weeks I was limping after every glute pin. Warming the oil made a noticeable difference, going slow on the plunger made a bigger one. By week 3 it was manageable. The gains coming in lean and dry are genuinely different from what you get from a wet compound - not faster, just better quality. Worth it for a prep cycle if you can stomach the first fortnight.

Ran DHB at 400 a week last summer and the first two pins were rough as advertised. Cut it 50/50 with MCT oil after that and the PIP dropped to about 1 day instead of 3. The keepable gains were the real surprise though, looked tighter 8 weeks post cycle than I did running primo at the same dose. Worth the trade-off for prep if you can stomach the early sides.

The crashing issue caught me out the first time too - left a vial in the garage overnight in winter and the next morning it was completely crashed. Warm water bath got it back but that was a lesson. Now I just keep it on the desk year round, room temp is fine. The PIP really does back off after 2 weeks like everyone says, first fortnight is rough but worth sticking with.
