MK-677 water retention and the lethargy in the first weeks, push through it or drop the dose?

Two weeks into MK-677 at 25mg before bed and the water retention is no joke. Face is puffy in the mornings, rings are tight, and the daytime lethargy is real. Hunger I expected, that part is doing what it says on the tin. Question is whether this settles after the body adjusts or whether I should drop to 10mg and try to climb back up. Not on cycle right now, just trying it solo to see what it does before adding it to a blast later. Anyone who pushed through the early weeks find it settled, or did dropping the dose actually fix it?

The pre bed dosing tip in here is the one most worth noting for anyone starting on MK. Lets the grogginess work in your favour rather than fighting through it during the day.

The puffy feeling settles around week 4 for most people, give it that long before deciding it's not for you. The lethargy is dose and timing more than anything. Split 25mg into 10mg morning and 15mg before bed and the daytime fog cleared up, plus the sleep got noticeably deeper.

Watch the appetite though. If you're not actively bulking it will sabotage a cut. Put on 4kg the first month and most of it was water and food i wouldn't have eaten otherwise.

MK is best suited to a bulk or recomp. The hunger will sabotage any cut you try to run alongside it. Bloods at week 4 settle whether it's worth the water.

The lethargy lifts around week 3 to 4 for most people, push through if you can. Move the dose to right before bed instead of morning, you sleep deeper and you don't feel the fog during the day. The water settles too once your body sorts out the cortisol response. If you're still flat at week 6 drop to 10mg, no point grinding 25 if it's not working.

I legit get mid-night hunger on it, and have to wake up in the middle of the night to have a snack/meal.
Definitely more profitable for a bulk

Yeah the 3am hunger is brutal on MK. A lot of guys move the full dose right before bed so the grogginess and the hunger both line up with sleep, helps a fair bit. Definitely not a cut compound, you will just end up hungry and watery and miserable. Worth pulling an IGF-1 reading around week 4 to confirm it is actually doing what it should.

honestly the lethargy is almost always just timing. move the full dose to right before bed and the daytime fog clears within a week or two, plus you sleep like a rock off it. the puffy water settles by about week 4 for most people so i wouldnt drop the dose yet, give it a chance to level out. get an igf-1 test around 4 weeks in though, thats the only real proof its dosed right. you want to see it up in the 200s or 300s, if it comes back flat then youve got bunk mk not a protocol problem.
