The HOMA-IR suggestion from FrankfurtFit is correct. I would add ApoB measurement to your panel as a superior marker for cardiovascular risk compared to LDL-C alone. ApoB tracks the actual number of atherogenic particles rather than cholesterol content per particle. GH at any dose modestly raises ApoB in some users - worth tracking from the start.

The berberine for glucose management is a good call at 2iu GH. Works well at that dose and keeps the doctor happy. Once you push above 3iu daily the berberine alone starts to fall short and you need to consider metformin. Good documentation on this protocol.

DEXA at 6 months is the right way to track this. Scale weight and mirror are not precise enough. The 3kg lean mass gain alongside 4 percent fat loss on TRT plus 2iu GH is a solid result. That ratio of change is exactly what a well-run long protocol should produce.

DEXA is the only honest way to measure what is actually happening on a long TRT plus GH protocol. Scale weight and mirror both lie. The 3kg lean mass and 4 percent fat loss numbers you are seeing are what a properly run protocol should produce over 6 months. Good result.

DEXA tracking is what I use too - started after my third blast. The difference between what you think is happening and what the scan shows is often surprising. The 3kg lean mass gain at 6 months on TRT plus GH is a solid result, better than most guys see chasing it with heavier stacks.

Planning to add GH at some point and this thread is exactly the kind of documentation I was looking for. The DEXA tracking approach is smart. 6 months is a reasonable timeframe to assess body composition change on a moderate GH protocol. Saving this for reference.

The fasting insulin addition suggested above is correct. Glucose alone is an insensitive marker for early insulin resistance. HOMA-IR calculated from fasting glucose and fasting insulin gives a far more complete picture. I add this to every bloodwork panel since starting GH. Your 6 month results on DEXA are exactly what the protocol should produce.

The glucose elevation on fasted morning GH protocol is well documented. At 2iu the effect is modest - your 8 point increase is within the expected range. The berberine intervention is appropriate at this level. I would suggest adding a fasting insulin measurement to your next panel to track insulin sensitivity more precisely than glucose alone.

Six months into TRT at 160mg test e weekly plus GH 2iu fasted AM. Running this as a long term health and body composition protocol rather than a blast. IGF-1 at 232 at 6 months, was 118 before GH. Body fat down about 4 percent based on DEXA, lean mass up around 3kg. Morning fasted glucose has crept up 8 points - managing with berberine 500mg twice daily. Sleep improved noticeably when I moved GH to pre bed for one month trial, but fasted glucose spiked more so I went back to AM. Worth tracking if you run GH long term.

The berberine for glucose management alongside GH is the same protocol I use. 500mg twice daily with meals. The fasted AM glucose has stayed within acceptable range at 2iu. The HOMA-IR addition to the panel is a good idea - adding it to my next bloodwork. Well documented cycle log, useful reference.
